Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of JobProof. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Beta service

JobProof is in beta and free to use. Features may change or be withdrawn, and interruptions are possible. We will give reasonable notice before introducing charges, and you may stop using the service at any time.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate details.
• Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Your content stays yours

Photographs, recordings, notes and reports you create remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store them, process them to produce reports, and display them to people you share a report link with. We do not use your job content to advertise or to train our own models.

Reports are drafts, and you are responsible for them

This matters, so please read it. JobProof produces a draft report from the information you supply. The system is instructed never to invent materials, measurements, brands, causes, test results or compliance claims, but automated writing can still contain mistakes.

• Check every report before you share it. Nothing is sent to a customer automatically.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send, exactly as you would be for a report you typed.
• JobProof does not provide engineering, legal, safety or compliance advice, and a report is not a certificate of compliance or a substitute for one.

Customer information

When you enter details about your customers, you confirm you are entitled to do so and that you will handle their information lawfully. You decide who receives a share link. You can revoke a link at any time.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload unlawful content, or content you have no right to use.
• Do not attempt to access another business's data, probe our security, or disrupt the service.
• Do not use the service to harass anyone or to misrepresent work that was not performed.
• Do not resell or re-brand the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue the service. If we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your reports.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Liability

Subject to the section above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, JobProof is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from your reliance on a report you did not check before sending.

Ending your use

You may stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaches these terms. On closure we delete your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date above. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you through the app or by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
